since the formwork for concrete beams is similar to each other, but varies depending on the type of slab (ribbed, one-way, two-way, waffle slab, pre-tensioned, and precast), the formwork for slabs will also differ. In some cases, the shape of the capital and its concurrent execution with the concrete slab, as well as how it is connected to the beams, are critical factors in the formwork design. To execute the formwork of the beams, a single piece of concrete formwork is used on the bottom of the beam (bottom formwork), and two side concrete formworks (suspended forms) are utilized. Initially, the bottom formwork is placed on ceiling jacks or substructure girders, and then the side forms are connected to the bottom forms through punched corner joints. To ensure the internal and external stability of the beams, back supports (dastak) and intermediate bolts are used (for beams over 50 centimeters in height). The precise calculation of the length of concrete formwork components for the floor slab and hangers in the beam-column formwork depends on the formwork method. If the concrete formwork for the floor slab is constructed side by side with the column formwork or shaft beam, its length will be equal to the clear span of the beam. In case of overlap between the floor slab formwork and the thickness of the column formwork, the thickness of the column forms on both sides of the beam must be added to its clear span. This is done for ease of dismantling the concrete formwork. In beams, a type of metal formwork called “modular fillers” is used in the hanger and floor slab sections to facilitate the formwork assembly.
